What you can expect:

A DTS (Discipleship Training School) is a six-month course that consists of two modules:

This years DTS will take place in cooperation with the DTS Team in Nürnberg. Most of the Lecture Phase will therefore be in Nürnberg. But you won’t miss out on Altensteig either. For a period of one or two weeks, we will visit our base in the Black Forest

Lecture Phase

In this phase, you will focus on your relationship with God as well as personal growth and identity. You will live and learn alongside other young people desirous of getting to know God on a deeper level.

Every week, a guest speaker will give a lecture on  different topics that will challenge you & inspire an authentic Christian lifestyle. Topics that will be covered include Hearing God’s Voice, Identity, The Holy Spirit and Discipleship – as well as many others.

Together, we will worship God, get to know His heart for this world and intercede for people and situations around the globe. Also, there will be opportunities to get practical on short-term outreaches during lecture phase.

If your desire growth and change in your life, this might be just the right place for you.

Tracks

Tracks are modules with different topics that the students can pick from according to their interest. During lecture phase we spend (at least) one afternoon a week to grow deeper into one of the following topics:

Holy Spirit & Revival

In this Track we will learn more about the Holy Spirit and how He still works today.

More Tracks will be added soon

Outreach

After preparing your heart during the first three months of DTS, you will start out on the second part of your adventure with God. As a team, we will travel abroad in order work alongside long-term missionaries to serve the local people and share about God’s love.

Depending on the country & local base, there will be different opportunities to serve, such as preaching in youth groups and Sunday services, leading worship, doing children’s ministry or reaching out to people in the streets. Oftentimes, there will be opportunities to help out practically as well, such as providing food for the homeless, painting a school building, serving in refugee centers etc.

During Outreach, you will be challenged to hear from God, try new things and discover the gifts God has placed within you in order to effectively reach those who are searching for God.

Upon returning back home, we will visit churches and youth groups in Germany in order to share about how we saw God move during outreach – and pass on what we learned. At the end of the school, we will take time to look back and evaluate our experience of the past months. Finally, we will celebrate the end of DTS with a graduation ceremony and start back into out everyday lives with fresh vision and passion!
